PGDE means post graduate diploma in Education whereas PDE stands for professional diploma in education or it means course code for post graduate diploma courses.

PGDE Post graduate diploma in education which is run by University while PDE is a professional diploma in education runs buy colleges f education to qualify one to enter class only but you can not use the certificate to gain admission to run degree in education.

PGD is Post Graduate Diploma and it’s run by candidates who graduated with third class or pass degree to enable them to run their masters or those with HND before running their masters or still candidates that want to change their discipline in the course they want to change to while PGDE is Post Graduate Diploma in Education for all those that have degrees, masters, doctorates degrees and HND holders that don’t have education qualifications PGDE is Post graduate diploma in education while PDE is professional diploma in education both these program are to enable someone who has never done education to have the knowledge and to register for teachers registration council of Nigeria to partake at the exam to bcom a competent and professional teachers and again is a perigusite for master but in education so both of them are the same so every university choose the name to be given for such program like ABU award PDE and uni Maiduguri award PGDEand want to have an education qualifications that runs this program.
