What Next After Gaining Admission?

Once you’ve been admitted to a Nigerian university, follow these steps:

1. Accept or decline your offers. Once you hear that your prefer institution had release admission list, Login to your JAMB CAPS and check if you have been offered admission. if you have been given admission, then you will need to decide whether to accept or decline the offer. You may have multiple offers to consider, so it is important to weigh the pros and cons of each school carefully before making a decision.

2. Print your JAMB Admission Letter: If you have accepted the school offer of admission, then print out your Admission letter. The admission letter comes in two printout, one for you and one for your institution.

Note: The admission letter for your school has the inscription “Institution Copy” while the one for you has the inscription “For Candidate Only”.

3: Get Your Documents Ready: Gather important documents like your JAMB result print-out, O’level results, JAMB admission letter, birth certificate, LGA identification certificate, Attestation letter, passports, FSLC, , etc.

4. Pay your Acceptance Fee. Most schools require an Acceptance Fee to secure your admission. The Acceptance Fee amount varies from school to school, but it is typically a few thousands compared with the main school fee. After paying your acceptance fee, go to the school for your physical registration and documentation once the date is announced.

5. Look for accommodation, pay and move in. Then Pay your school fees also without delays.

6. Read and understand your university’s rules and regulations to avoid getting into trouble with the school.

7. Get your lecture timetable and start attending classes.

8. Seek advice from lecturers, staff, academic adviser, and older students for tips on doing well in school.
